Concrete and screed surfaces

Many architects and planners have developed the idea of manufacturing virtually seamless floors in residential and commercial construction by designing and dyeing "normal" screed. It can be produced by using white cement, coloured aggregates and pigments in many colours.

For the aggregates in the screed to fully reveal their colour effects the floors made with them must be polished or buffed. Finished surfaces made with concrete are in the long run an effective, glossy and economical alternative to coated concrete floors, PVC, linoleum, tiles as well as natural stone surfaces and artificial stones.
